 Journey

The Journey is about showing you what urbanization does to our stream health. It lets you the main character go through the daily cycle of humans, showing you what wee done to our waters and how big of an impact everything has. Through the macroinvertebrate's population and diversity. It may not be cool and flashy but it's educational. If you want to see what we’ve done, how we’ve devastated the waters, and how to fix it then this game is for you.

 macro adventure

The object of the game is to pollute the river and to defeat enemies to raise your pollution level and raise your pollution bar which you need to defeat enough enemies to raise to unlock more areas and continue the game.

 lichen adventure

The main character will be a researcher, doing much the same things as us. It will be able to walk left and right, and will also be able to jump and climb small distances.

surviving the fire

Player (an organism of some kind) is trapped in a forest fire below it. Its goal is to make it down into the ground to escape the fire, however it needs an exit to get below, and it cannot stay above the fire for too long or it will burn. The player jumps from different types of organic structures such as trees and rocks to escape. It will “heal” by eating lichens or fungi species and this is it so far.

 Brooklyns Biodiversity game

The objective of the game is to collect x amount of plants to move onto the next level,
without losing your lifes. There are multiple ways to lose your life one way is by
accidentally collecting poison oak. Another way you could lose you life is by running into
one of the animals that randomly appear on screen. If you run out of lives before you
get x amount of plants, you will restart the game.

 

Biodiversity game abby

My main (playable) character will be a scientist studying the biodiversity of an unexplored forest. She will be able to collect species and identify them, inserting them into a book of species

Fungal Hunt

You enter a fungi spore contest and to win the golden mushroom you have to collect spore prints in a number of different levels. But there will be poisonous ones that if you touch you have to totally restart your hunt. Once you get to the booth checkpoint you get transported to the next level.

There’s a home screen where you can pick a character. The characters resemble members of the group. You get introduced to “the book” a talking mushroom book with an eye on it.  Your first quest is to find an orange chantrelle. This aims to teach you how to walk in all directions and how to pick up mushrooms. Level one will introduce you to children, foul characters that stomp on mushrooms. You learn shoo children in this level. The point is to gather as many mushrooms before the children turn them into mush. You will encounter characters who trade mushrooms for coins. And you will be able to use coins to buy ice cream to give to children. This will make them disappear. Once the player reaches a certain level, they will fight the boss, mycophbic karen. karen will scream insults and it takes 15 ice creams to get rid of her. The lawnmower is another enemy. You must have 5 icecream to get it to go away.

You live as a macro in a world of pollution and as you live your life in your stream, around you urbanization becomes more and more. You then have to dodge all of the new things that humans have littered in your home to survive. Trash and liquid pollution can affect your health and makes it hard for you to survive.

 Macro_Hunt

The game revolves around one object, the D-Net which is a commonly used tool to catch macroinvertabrates. As you collect Macros around the map, you will gain points (more points with the rarer species). There are also ways to lose points wich you will find out as you continue to play. If you go below 0 the game will autimatically restar but if you go above or exactly to 200 points you will get to move on to the next level. When you move on your score resets and the levels will begin to ge harder.

you should be looking for egg masses, and try not to get hit by any rocks in the water. If you do get hit by a rock you lose some health. The higher the level the harder it gets. You will also try your best to collect the frog eggs before the bullfrogs eat them. Collect the floating stars to get some of your health back.

It  is your job to save this forest from loggers nearby! You need to quickly asses the biodiversity of the area to collect items to defeat the evil enemies. You will have a small inventory to pick up and store your items in.

 Runny Salmon

The story of the game is that you are a salmon that is in its mid life, this salmon is being chased and has to make it back to its birthplace safely so that it can lay its own eggs. On the way back to its birthplace it has to avoid getting caught and getting stung by jellyfish.

 Harold the Mushroom- Jacob M

The object of the game is to survive until the last level because after you complete that, Harold will be able to rest and release his spores to make more mushrooms. In the 3 levels you experience the hardships of a mushroom just trying to live.

 Mass Collect- Bohdi Jones

The story is about a northern red legged frog that was caught behind and has to pick up other egg masses that are in the way of danger. As this frog progresses the predators get harder and so does the environment. But the end goal is to get to the breeding grounds where you release all of your eggs.
